National Brand Competition 2025 within the framework of the “One Village – One Product” (OVOP) initiative
On February 27, 2026, the National Brand Competition 2025 was held at the Orion Hotel Bishkek within the framework of the “One Village – One Product” (OVOP) initiative. The event brought together representatives of government authorities, international organizations, the diplomatic corps, and regional producers. The program included a presentation of OVOP activity results, product showcases from seven regions of the country, and an award ceremony for the winners in the Gold, Silver, and Bronze nominations.
Urmat Kydyrganov from the Analytical and Financial Service represented the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund at the event. Participation in the competition provided an opportunity to review the current progress in the development of regional brands, assess the potential of products for market expansion, and strengthen working contacts with regional representatives and partner organizations, including JICA and United Nations Development Programme.
The OVOP initiative continues to demonstrate sustainable results in supporting local producers, fostering regional entrepreneurship, and promoting national brands of the Kyrgyz Republic.
