On the Fourth Meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation

Ulan Sarbanov, Chairman of the Board of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, participated in the fourth meeting of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, which was held in Budapest.

The plenary session was co-chaired by Dr. Boglárka Illés, State Secretary for Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, and Mr. Bakyt Sydykov, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The session addressed key areas of bilateral cooperation between Hungary and the Kyrgyz Republic in three areas: 1) "Economy, Trade, Investment, and Agriculture," 2) "Energy," and 3) "Education, Culture, Sports, and Tourism." Mr. Mirbek Duisheev, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic; Ms. Nazgul Usenova, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic; and Mr. Nurlan Omurov, Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, delivered brief presentations on relevant topics.

Ulan Sarbanov presented a report on the current projects and future prospects of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

Following the meeting, the Protocol of the 4th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary and the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of veterinary medicine and veterinary control were signed.
