Asian Development Outlook – April 2026

An event dedicated to the presentation of the updated Asian Development Outlook for April 2026, organized by the Asian Development Bank, was held in the city of Bishkek.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Zheng Wu, Director of the ADB Resident Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic, who emphasized the importance of sustainable economic development in the region and strengthening partnership with the Kyrgyz Republic.

On behalf of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, Aisha Zhparkulova attended the event.

As part of the event, an analytical presentation on the current state and prospects of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic was delivered. The presentation was given by Gulnur Kerimkulova, Chief Economist of the ADB Resident Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic. During the presentation, key macroeconomic indicators, challenges, and potential growth points of the national economy were discussed.

Special attention was paid to issues of sustainable development, the investment climate, and the impact of global economic trends on the countries of Central Asia.

At the end of the presentation, a Q&A session was held, during which participants discussed актуальные issues of economic policy and future prospects for cooperation.
