Business Breakfast with Representatives of the Financial Sector of the Kyrgyz Republic
On 13 February 2026, a Business Breakfast with representatives of the banking and financial sector of the Kyrgyz Republic was held at the Frunze Restaurant in Bishkek, organized by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. The purpose of the event was to develop a common vision of the role of the banking and financial sector in the implementation of the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030, as well as to elaborate coordinated approaches to transforming the financial system in order to ensure sustainable economic growth of the country.
During the Business Breakfast, a practical dialogue took place on the application of financial instruments, regulatory decisions, and mechanisms of interaction between government authorities, development funds, commercial banks, and other financial market participants to achieve the development targets through 2030.
Participants discussed issues related to synchronizing banking sector development policies with state economic policy, removing existing barriers, identifying priority areas for financial market development, and creating new mechanisms for long-term financing of the real sector of the economy.
The event was attended by representatives of government bodies, the banking and financial sector, and international development institutions. From the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, Kanat Kurmanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board, took part in the Business Breakfast.
